ABOUT ME

Nice to meet you

Welcome

Reaching out to a mental health Provider can be deeply personal and it is important to honor the foundations of a good fit in your search for a Therapist. I am a latinX, cisgender, female identified woman. I was the first in my family to earn a college degree. As a person with a vision impairment, I can relate to the various aspects of intersecting identities. I discovered my passion and interest in human behavior and psychology early on when I was still in high school, both through supporting my peers and through my volunteering endeavors within my community in south Los Angeles, I believe that my deep curiosity for understanding my own struggles led me to explore a degree in Psychology and eventually to where I am today . I strive to continue to grow but also feel confident that my experience both personal and professional can offer you the skills, insight, and growth to help you move forward. I look forward to to connecting with you soon and invite you to reach out for a free consultation.

EXPERIENCE

Experience

I have over 15 years working within the mental health field starting, initially as a Bachelor's level provider in various settings which allowed me to gain experience in working with children and families. In the past 7 years, I have focused on providing therapy services within community mental health and higher education settings. I have experience working with children, young adults, adults, and couples. I also have familiarity and training in treating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma related symptoms. I am trained and certified in various “evidence based” models of therapy, but my primary goal is to individualize treatment to work for your unique needs. I focus my approach in working with clients to be collaborative and to provide a safe and supportive environment. I promote a balance between challenging and supporting my clients to elicit positive change.
